Rotate PDF permanently fixes pages that scanned sideways or upside down. Choose 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, or 180°, and the rotation is written into the file itself - unlike the rotate button in a PDF viewer, which only changes your current view and is lost the moment you close the file. This matters when you send the document to someone else or upload it to a portal: with viewer-only rotation, the recipient still sees sideways pages. The rotation is lossless; page content is not re-rendered, so text and image quality are untouched.
