Rotate PDF permanently fixes pages that scanned sideways or upside down. Choose 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, or 180°, and the rotation is written into the file itself - unlike the rotate button in a PDF viewer, which only changes your current view and is lost the moment you close the file. This matters when you send the document to someone else or upload it to a portal: with viewer-only rotation, the recipient still sees sideways pages. The rotation is lossless; page content is not re-rendered, so text and image quality are untouched. Landscape scans of spreadsheets, receipts photographed in the wrong orientation, and mixed batches from a document feeder are the usual candidates.

Why do my pages look correct in my viewer but sideways for other people?
Your PDF viewer's rotate button only rotates the display on your screen and does not save the change. This tool writes the rotation into the file permanently so it opens correctly for everyone.
Which rotation angles are available?
90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise and 180°. Rotating 180° fixes upside-down scans; 90° fixes landscape pages scanned as portrait.
Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Rotation is a lossless operation - the page content is reoriented, not re-rendered, so text and images keep their exact original quality.
Can I rotate just one page instead of the whole document?
The tool rotates the whole file in one pass. To rotate a single page, extract it with Split PDF, rotate it, then recombine with Merge PDF - or use the PDF Editor for visual page-by-page control.
